Getting Started
Projects are the core of Currently. Each project gets an AI-generated briefing that summarizes status, updates, and blockers. You can organize resources, track progress, and collaborate with your team all in one place.
How to Create a Project
Navigate to Projects
Go to the Projects page from your dashboard or sidebar navigation
Click "New Project"
Click the "New Project" button in the top right corner of the Projects page
Fill in Project Details
Complete the project creation form with the information below
Create Project
Click "Create Project" to save. You'll automatically be added as the project owner.
Project Fields
Understanding each field in the project creation form
Name *
The project name. This is required and will be displayed throughout the application.
Emoji
Optional emoji to visually identify your project. Choose from the emoji picker to add a custom emoji.
Description
Optional description of the project. This helps team members understand the project's purpose and goals.
Priority
Set the project priority level:
Status
Current status of the project:
Progress
Set the initial progress percentage (0-100). You can update this as the project progresses.
Start Date
Optional start date for the project. Helps with timeline tracking and planning.
End Date
Optional target completion date. Useful for deadline tracking and project planning.
After Creating a Project
AI Briefing Generation
Once created, your project will automatically receive an AI-generated briefing that summarizes the project purpose, status, and any initial information.
Project Owner
You'll automatically be added as the project owner, giving you full control over the project settings, members, and resources.
Start Adding Content
You can immediately start adding resources, creating updates, and inviting team members to collaborate on the project.
Tips for Creating Projects
- •Use clear, descriptive project names that your team will easily recognize
- •Add an emoji to make projects easier to identify at a glance
- •Set realistic start and end dates to help with planning and tracking
- •Update progress regularly to keep the AI briefing accurate and helpful
